Farm Day at Cherry Hill

Saturday, October 10, 2026 | 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
Cherry Hill Park, 312 Park Ave., Falls Church, VA 22046
Free admission | Some activities require tickets

Step into Falls Church’s farming past at Farm Day, a fall outing filled with animals, music, hands-on activities, and history. Set around the historic Cherry Hill Farmhouse and Barn, this annual celebration invites families and visitors to explore what life on a farm was like while enjoying an afternoon outdoors in The Little City.

Watch traditional skills come to life. See demonstrations of blacksmithing, basket weaving, and beekeeping, and learn about the history of the farmhouse and barn. These demonstrations give curious visitors of all ages a closer look at the work and skills that shaped farm life.

Meet the animals and join the farm fun. Children can visit the petting farm, enjoy a pony ride, try a haystack hunt, or go apple fishing. Hands-on activities include pumpkin and birdhouse painting, corn grinding, seed sowing, and a stick horse craft. There is plenty to try, whether your child loves animals, making things, or getting involved in an activity.

Stay for the atmosphere. Live music and entertainment take place throughout the day, making it easy to wander between demonstrations and activities at your own pace. Farm Day is a chance to spend time together, welcome the fall season, and discover a piece of Falls Church history.

Who should attend? Farm Day is especially suited to families with children, but history lovers, animal enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a relaxed fall outing will find something to enjoy. Grandparents, neighbors, and visitors are welcome to join in.

Admission is free. Activity tickets cost $2 each, and ticketed activities require one to five tickets. Tickets are sold on the day of the event at the Recreation and Parks ticket booth.
