The holidays are hitting the streets of The Little City! Join us for our first outdoor Little City Holiday Market, bringing local makers, small businesses, delicious food, and festive fun to downtown Falls Church.
Shop unique gifts, meet the people who made them, and enjoy live music, holiday activities, and seasonal surprises. Then keep the celebration going with the holiday edition of Little City Sips from 5 to 10 p.m.
The Little City Holiday Market Experience
Little Falls Street is going car-free and making room for holiday shopping and community fun! Browse locally made goods, discover something special for everyone on your list, and treat yourself along the way.
The market is free to attend and open to everyone. It’s outdoors in December, so bundle up and enjoy an afternoon and evening in The Little City.

The Little City Holiday Market offers more than just shopping! Little Falls Street will be filled with holiday music, Santa visits, a special beer pop-up, and plenty of fun for our youngest marketgoers.
Live Music
What’s a holiday market without a little music? Enjoy live performances throughout the event as the street fills with the sounds of the season. Stay tuned for the entertainment lineup!
Santa Claus Is Coming to Town
Santa is making a special stop at the Little City Holiday Market! 🎅 Swing by Stylish Patina’s parking lot to say hello, snap a photo, and share your holiday wish list. You might also spot him wandering through the market and along the Little City Sips Sip & Stroll route, so keep an eye out!
There’s more holiday fun at Stylish Patina, where Allison Colburn will host a festive cookie-decorating activity. Turn gingerbread and sugar cookies into edible masterpieces, then head to Little Falls and Broad streets to explore more market offerings.
Beer Pop-Up with Audacious Aleworks
A little holiday cheer for the grown-ups! Audacious Aleworks will host a special beer pop-up at Stratford Garden. Stop by for a cold brew and raise a glass to the holiday season!
Little City Kids Corner
There’s a whole lot of fun planned for our youngest marketgoers! The Little City Kids Corner will have its own special space at the market, with games to play, stories to hear, letters to write, and plenty of opportunities to get creative. Here’s what you’ll find in the Kids Corner:
- Holiday Slime with Cloud Nine Slime Bar: Who’s ready for some holiday slime? Cloud Nine Slime Bar is bringing festive, squishy fun to the Kids Corner with holiday-themed slime that little hands will love!
- Storytime with The Wandering Shelf: Nothing beats a good holiday story! The Wandering Shelf is rolling into the Kids Corner with its mobile bookstore and storytime for little readers at 3, 4, and 5 p.m. Browse the shelves for a new favorite or pick up a book to tuck under the tree.
- Game Time with Cozy Nook Games: Ready to play? Cozy Nook Games is bringing a selection of games for kids and families to try, with play sessions at 3:30, 4:30, and 5:30 p.m. Who knows? You might discover your family’s next favorite game! Games will also be available for purchase.
- Letters to Santa with Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids: Dear Santa, Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids is bringing a whole lot of fun to the Kids Corner! Little ones can write their wish lists and drop them into Santa’s special mailbox. And the best part? The Sharkey’s team plans to send a reply to every child who writes! There will also be holiday coloring pages, bedazzled brushes, gift bags, and even a giant shark making an appearance!
- Holiday Button Making: A little something handmade for the holidays! Acton Academy, The Learning Quest, and The Toy Nest are teaming up for holiday button making. Kids can create their very own festive buttons to wear, share, or take home as a keepsake.
Gift Wrapping with Homestretch
That’s a wrap! Found the perfect holiday gifts at the market? Stop by Homestretch’s gift-wrapping station and let them take care of the finishing touches.

Sip Your Way Through the City
Little City Sips is back with a holiday edition!
From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., stop by participating Falls Church restaurants, purchase a featured drink in an official Little City Sips cup, and take it with you as you stroll through the designated Little City Sips area and shop the Little City Holiday Market.
The Holiday Market closes at 9 p.m., while Little City Sips continues until 10 p.m. Visit the Little City Sips page for updates on participating shops and restaurants, view the DORA area boundary map, and the live music lineup.
