About the Mural:

The Tinner Hill area holds a significant place in the history of Falls Church. To honor the contributions of this vibrant community and its leaders, the Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation commissioned a mural. Several talented artists submitted their designs, and the project was awarded to Arlington artist Bryan King. The mural features prominent figures such as Joseph Tinner and Dr. E. B. Henderson, who, along with other community members, fought against segregation. Their organization received the first rural charter of the NAACP, marking a pivotal moment in civil rights history.

Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival, also known as Tết Trung Thu, at the Eden Center. This beloved annual celebration brings the community together for an afternoon of Vietnamese culture, traditions, entertainment, and family-friendly fun.

The Moon Festival is traditionally a time for families to gather, give thanks, share mooncakes, light colorful lanterns, and celebrate togetherness. Experience these traditions firsthand at one of the region’s most vibrant Vietnamese cultural destinations.

City of Falls Church Fall Community Clean-Up

Join us for a City-wide clean-up on April 11 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon! Help keep The Little City beautiful and our waterways clean. Perfect for families, groups, and individuals who want to make a difference! Meet at the Falls Church Community Center (223 Little Falls St.) Be sure to wear clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes. We’ll provide all the cleanup gear you need.   • Meet in front of the Community Center to sign in, gather supplies, and be assigned a location
