City of Falls Church Memorial Day Parade and Festival

The Memorial Day Parade and Festival takes place on Monday, May 25, 2026, in the City of Falls Church, Virginia. This community event offers a welcoming atmosphere for residents, visitors, and tourists looking for things to do in Northern Virginia.
Join us in remembrance and community at the 44th annual Memorial Day Parade and Festival! Honor our nation’s fallen heroes and our country’s rich history while marking the 250th anniversary of the United States of America!
- Monday, May 25, 2026, from 9 am to 5 pm
- 9 a.m. – Festival, vendor booths (civic, crafters, food trucks), and rides open
- 11 a.m. – Memorial Day Ceremony with the Greater Falls Church Veterans Council
- 2 p.m. – Memorial Day Parade down Park Avenue.
- Free, no registration required
Begin the morning with the spirited 3K fun run; then honor our community’s fallen military service members at the Veterans Memorial. In the afternoon, dive into delicious food trucks, peruse local vendors, bounce around on the kids’ rides & inflatables, and spectate the showstopping parade down Park Avenue.
Visit the VA250’s Mobile Museum: Out of Many, One
A hands-on, interactive, and immersive “museum on wheels,” the VA250 Mobile Museum Experience titled “Out of Many, One” will be onsite at this year’s Memorial Day Parade and Festival. 2026 Grand Marshal Nominations
Do you know someone who has made exceptional, outstanding, distinguished, sustained, or unique contributions to the City of Falls Church? Submit a nomination for them to serve as the Grand Marshal at the 44th Annual Memorial Day Parade and Festival on Monday, May 25, 2026. Nominations are due by 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
Previous Grand Marshals are not eligible to serve again. The 2026 Grand Marshal will be announced on this webpage and via City communications in March or April 2026.
