Recycling Extravaganza
Safely dispose of hard-to-recycle items at the City of Falls Church’s annual Recycling Extravaganza. This convenient, drive-through event helps residents responsibly recycle household hazardous waste, electronics, paper for shredding, clothing, bicycles, and more, all in one place. The City of Falls Church Property Yard, located at 217 Gordons Rd., Falls Church, VA 22046, on Saturday, October 3 from 8:3- a.m. to 1 p.m.
Clear out clutter and protect the environment by dropping off items that are difficult to recycle through regular collection. Participants remain in their vehicles while staff safely unload materials.
Accepted at the Event
- Household hazardous waste (cleaners, paints, automotive fluids)
- Electronics (computers, TVs, printers)
- Paper for shredding (limit three boxes)
- Clothing, textiles, and accessories
- Bicycles and small household items

- Open to City of Falls Church community members only; ID or other proof of residency is required.
- Residents will be asked to stay in their vehicles and allow event staff to remove items and materials directly.
