This community event offers a welcoming atmosphere for residents\, visitors\, and tourists looking for things to do in Northern Virginia. \nJoin us in remembrance and community at the 44th annual Memorial Day Parade and Festival! Honor our nation’s fallen heroes and our country’s rich history while marking the 250th anniversary of the United States of America! \n\nMonday\, May 25\, 2026\, from 9 am to 5 pm\n\n9 a.m. – Festival\, vendor booths (civic\, crafters\, food trucks)\, and rides open\n11 a.m. – Memorial Day Ceremony with the Greater Falls Church Veterans Council\n2 p.m. – Memorial Day Parade down Park Avenue.\n\n\nFree\, no registration required\n\nBegin the morning with the spirited 3K fun run; then honor our community’s fallen military service members at the Veterans Memorial. In the afternoon\, dive into delicious food trucks\, peruse local vendors\, bounce around on the kids’ rides & inflatables\, and spectate the showstopping parade down Park Avenue. \nVisit the VA250’s Mobile Museum: Out of Many\, One \nA hands-on\, interactive\, and immersive “museum on wheels\,” the VA250 Mobile Museum Experience titled “Out of Many\, One” will be onsite at this year’s Memorial Day Parade and Festival. The mobile museum brings key stories of Virginia’s rich history\, highlighting every region of the state. Explore more information about the mobile museum and VA250 initiatives. \n2026 Grand Marshal Nominations \nDo you know someone who has made exceptional\, outstanding\, distinguished\, sustained\, or unique contributions to the City of Falls Church? Submit a nomination for them to serve as the Grand Marshal at the 44th Annual Memorial Day Parade and Festival on Monday\, May 25\, 2026. Nominations are due by 12 p.m. Wednesday\, March 4\, 2026.  \nPrevious Grand Marshals are not eligible to serve again. The 2026 Grand Marshal will be announced on this webpage and via City communications in March or April 2026.

DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Cinco de Mayo across the City of Falls Church with a full lineup of festive specials\, live music\, and all-day deals at some of the City’s favorite local spots. From margaritas and craft beer to DJs and family-friendly fun\, there’s something happening all day long. \n\nAudacious Aleworks Falls Church is hosting a Cinco de Mayo Happy Hour at both of its taprooms\, featuring $5 pints of El Guapo Mexican Lager and Isla Margarita Gose until 6 PM\, along with $5 frozen margaritas. Guests can enjoy the celebration indoors or outside.\nClare & Don’s Beach Shack kicks things off with $5 margaritas available all day\, plus live music starting at 5:30 PM in a relaxed\, beachy atmosphere.\nAt Dogwood Tavern\, the fiesta includes specialty margaritas\, Mexican food offerings\, and raw bar specials. Live music by Eric Zatz will run from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM\, creating a lively evening atmosphere.\nHelena’s Mexican Restaurant is hosting a multi-day Cinco de Mayo Weekend celebration from May 3 through May 5. Specials include 20-oz fiesta buckets (available frozen or on the rocks)\, Mexican candy shooters\, beer specials\, and appetizer features such as mini aguachiles and queso with guacamole. Sunday includes a Family Fiesta from 1 PM to 3 PM with face painting and balloon activities\, and the celebration wraps up with a DJ night on May 5.\nTaco Rock Falls Church is going all out with a promotion tied to its Casa Dragones Margarita. Every purchase comes with a guaranteed prize scratch-off\, with rewards ranging from free tacos and appetizers to unlimited tacos for a month.
